How to properly set up phones (player application)

In our previous article, we provided an instructional video on how to set up our system with two cameras. In this article, we are including a tech drawing that will show you where to measure and how to record the distance to the ball for both cameras.

When you first time trying to set up whole system, take care about:

  1. Face on camera (FO) at a height of 45 cm / 18”.
  2. Down the line (DL) camera at a height 45 cm / 18” (If you set it up).
  3. Face on camera (FO) at a distance of 175 cm (69”) from the ball.
  4. Down the line (DL) camera at a distance of 200 cm (79”) from the ball.

Face on camera:

  1. Place the ball first and measure the distance from the ball.
  2. Place iPhone on tripod (the best tripods we recommend you every stable tripod with phone mounting kit – example: https://www.amazon.com/VICTIV-Camera-Lightweight-Aluminum-Professional/dp/B09SNS2DF7/
  3. Place the ball. Ball should be directly in the center of the square (phone screen).
  4. Now you can – if your subscription plan cover this – connect and set the Down the line camera.

Down the line camera:

  1. Phone on tripod.
  2. Place the ball and set it in the middle of the screen square
  3. Be sure OF camera connected
  4. You’re ready!

If you are connecting a DL camera, the most important thing is to purchase the highest subscription plan, which allows you to use the DL camera. Remember, you must first set up your On Face camera before you can begin setting up the Down the Line camera device.

If both DL and iPad are connected all red icons should be green.
